The amateur group present their latest production – Deathtrap – from Tuesday 19 February.
Unknown dramatist Clifford Anderson has sent his new thriller to award-winning Broadway author Sidney Bruhl for comment – or has he? Without a success to his credit for some years, Sidney plots with his reluctant wife Myra about how best to plagiarize ‘Deathtrap’ and when Clifford turns up to discuss the play with the ‘Master’, events take a sinister turn…
Deathtrap is directed by a team comprising of Kevin Evans, who directed 2017’s Theatrical Knights, and Rebecca Mackenzie who makes her Playhouse directing debut, both of whom stared in last year’s Rules for Living for the group.
The cast features Michael Street (Duets (White Cobra Productions), The Rover, It’s A Wonderful Life (Masque)) as Sidney Bruhl, Mary O’Brien (Brief Encounter, Love Song (Playhouse Theatre)) as Myra Bruhl, Siôn Grace (Love in a Mist, Jekyll & Hyde (Playhouse Theatre)) as Clifford Anderson, Fiona Lee (Sextet, The Sunshine Boys (Playhouse Theatre)) as Helga ten Dorp and Graham Lee (Ying Tong, Season’s Greetings, Neville’s Island (Playhouse Theatre))as Porter Milgrim.
Deathtrap runs at The Playhouse Theatre, Clare Street, from Tue 19 – Sat 23 February 2019 at 7.45pm.
