Playhouse Theatre seeks plays for new season

Ever fancied bringing your favourite stage production to life? The Playhouse Theatre, Northampton are seeking submissions to their committee for next year’s season.

In the past year, The Playhouse Theatre have presented a varied line-up, including in house productions of Rules for Living, Jekyll & Hyde and Ying Tong, alongside hosting productions by Masque Theatre, such as Defying Gravity and Madame Bovary. It’s even been home to local comedy from LIMBO and stand up James Acaster.

With more to come this season including Deathtrap and 84 Charing Cross Road, the play reading committee is preparing what’s to come in the 2019/20 season, and have sent out a request for directors to submit their choice of productions.

Directing experience is preferred, although The Playhouse Theatre are happy to offer mentoring to new directors, and those interested need to submit their play choice to the committee before 27 January.

The line-up will be determined by the play reading group, taking into account licence availability and suitability.
