Weekes Baptiste directs Kenneth Horne’s romantic comedy, “Love In A Mist” at The Playhouse Theatre from Tuesday 18 to Saturday 22 September 2018.
Newlyweds Pat and Nigel get lost in the mist and end up trapped in a cottage owned by Mr and Mrs Evans, which also happens to be a duck farm. Following the arrival of Rose and Howard, also lost, and on a dirty weekend, the six find themselves trapped with only poultry journals for company, and more importantly, limited sleeping arrangements.
The cast includes names familiar to the Playhouse stage, and some newcomers. Love In A Mist stars Playhouse regulars Gena McCrystal (Make Way For Lucia, Brief Encounter) as Mrs Evans, Simon Rye (Make Way For Lucia, Brief Encounter) as Mr Evans and Kevin Evans (Ying Tong, A Butler Did It! (for Charity Players)) as Nigel. New to The Playhouse, Georgina Pearson (Lydia By Any Other Name (Spears-Indi), ensemble for The Grapes of Wrath (Royal & Derngate)) stars as Pat, Holly Parker-Guest (Can You Hear The Music?, Accidental Death of an Anarchist (Lindley Players and Carlton Theatrical Society)) as Rose and Siôn Grace (Woman in Mind, The Bacchae (both for Masque Theatre))
