It’s Panto Time Again for Abbey Community Theatre

Looking for a classic panto to take the family along to this Christmas? This festive season sees East Hunsbury’s Abbey Community Theatre (ACT) bringing Jack and the Beanstalk to the stage.

Directed by ACT member Kevin Johnson, this year’s panto from the amateur group based out of The Abbey Centre, has a strong cast of 17 adult actors from ACT’s membership, as well as an array of child actors from local performing arts groups.

Jack and the Beanstalk might be a mainstay story when it comes to Panto, but visitors to the show might find it a bit different to what they’ve seen before…

Daniel from the group says, ” So you think you know the story of Jack & The Beanstalk? – Think again! Yes, it’s Panto time! (Oh no it isn’t! Oh yes it is!)

“Come along to the Abbey Centre this Christmas and enjoy our funny, colourful version of this traditional tale. Meet Jack, his dear old mum and all of his friends, as they encounter magic beans, evil baddies (booo!) and one very giant problem!

“Watch the mayhem unfold when the Circus comes to town. What will happen to Jack? Is the evil Town Squire really that evil? Is the beanstalk really that big? Is Jack’s mother really that ugly? Come and find out!

“With music, songs and jokes this is the perfect seasonal treat for all the family!”

Jack and the Beanstalk runs from 30th November to the 2nd of December at The Abbey Centre, Overslade Close, East Hunsbury, Northampton NN4 0RZ – Thurs 30th Nov & Fri 1st Dec 7.30pm; Sat 2nd Dec 1.00pm and 5.00pm
