Behind the Scenes with Duston Players’ Inspector Drake

After the huge success of their Christmas production of Blackadder’s Christmas Carol, Duston Players are back with another hilarious comedy – Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime.

Rehearsals for Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime got underway at the start of March, and we’ve been let in behind the scenes to see how things are going…

The production is being directed by the team behind BlackadderAlistair Way and Debbie Malcolm and stars Jonathan Whalley as Drake, Giorgios Gournapoulos as PC Plod, Tina Hartley as Sabrina, Claire Hamilton as Miss Short, and Si Wolfenden as Dr Short.

Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime by David Tristram is another of the inimitable Inspector’s investigations…

When a genius commits a murder, the plan is perfect. But is it foolproof? Inspector Drake is back to face his greatest-ever challenge. Who is the mysterious Doctor Short, and why did he marry a warthog? Has he murdered his fourth wife – or did she murder him first? These are just some of the questions facing the indomitable Drake, as he is helped- or hindered – by his trusty sidekick PC Plod and distracted by the delectable Sabrina Short…well one of them at least! Written by David Tristram, this excellent, fast paced farce of a murder mystery is guaranteed to be a laugh a minute and is not to be missed.

You can catch Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime at Duston Community Centre, NN5 6DT from 16-19 May 2018, performances starting at 7.45pm. Tickets are available online (booking fee applies) or can be reserved to pay on the door by calling 07464 859017
