Duston Players are back with a hilarious Murder Mystery spoof

The group, who’ve been entertaining their local community for over 70 years, return to the stage Duston Community Centre with Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime.

Directed by the team behind last years’ hugely successful “Blackadder’s Christmas Carol” – Alistair Way and Debbie Malcolm – Perfekt Crime is the creation of Black Country writer David Tristram, and features a plot with “more twists in it than, well, a really twisty thing”

Who is the mysterious Doctor Short, and why did he marry a warthog? Has he murdered his fourth wife – or did she murder him first? Has he really got two daughters called Sabrina, or is one of them telling porkies? Where is Frank the taxi driver? What was the Pope doing in the woods? And, perhaps most importantly of all, why is there a lamppost in the living room?

Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime stars Jonathan Whalley (who starred as Edmund Blackadder in Blackadder’s Christmas Carol) as the indomitable Inspector Drake, Georgios Gounaropoulos as Sgt. Plod, Tina Hartley as Sabrina, Claire Hamilton as Miss Short and Si Wolfenden as Dr Short.

The show features an ambitious set and some intriguing props, including a taxidermy Warthog and a large fish!
