Rustic re-telling of Beauty and the Beast in Corby this Christmas

This Christmas, beasts and beauties of all ages are invited to a tale where beastliness is only skin deep as Beauty And The Beast comes to The Core at Corby Cube from Friday 7 to Sunday 30 December.

Deep in the overgrown forest lies a mysterious, ruined castle with a very unusual inhabitant who lives under a terrible curse. In a farmhouse on the edge of town lives a family of three remarkable daughters and their weary father who struggles to make ends meet. Who will dare to go into the forest and what will they find? What is love and can it change our lives?

The show features a daring heroine and a beast with impeccable table manners, and has played to over 22,000 people in Cambridge and Bristol with rave reviews and packed houses.

New International Encounter create a rustic re‑telling of the French classic fairy tale that is full of live music, fun and magic, and comes direct from a three week run at New York’s New Victory Theater.

Commenting on the show, Artistic Director of NIE and Director of Beauty And The Beast Alex Byrne said “This is a timeless story about how love changes people and we couldn’t be more excited to be bringing that message to Corby audiences this Christmas”.
