Theatre for all the Family this Christmas

There’s a feast of entertainment available this festive season, with something for all the family to enjoy.

The Deco have the classic Peter Pan this year, running until December 30th – staring kids from across the county. Starring Nick Cochrane (Coronation Street) as Smee, Lydia Lucy (The Voice finalist) as Wendy, Colin Ridgewell (Grange Hill) as Captain Hook, West End star Chris Wills as Peter Pan and Northampton’s own Naomi Wilkins as Tiger Lily. Tickets available here

The Royal & Derngate have 3 fantastic Christmas shows this year, for all ages.

Aladdin (until 31st December) sees musical and television star Paul Nicholas, Union J’s Jaymi Hensley and Three Degrees singer Sheila Ferguson take to the stage in traditional panto style. There’ll be plenty of “He’s behind you!” and “Oh no he isn’t” to get your vocal chords around! There’s even the chance to get your message read out in a Shout out!
( For shout outs please email with your message, including the date and time of the performance you are attending.)

For the younger audiences, there’s The Singing Mermaid (until 13th January) in the Underground from the amazing Little Angel Theatre. Aimed at kids from aged 1 upwards, this is an adorable show full of puppetry and beautiful story telling, based on the book by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks.

And if Panto isn’t your style, you can always check out The Jungle Book (until 31st December), in this fab adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling book.

Tickets for shows at the Royal &Derngate can be booked online via their website. Booking fees apply.

The Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering offers up Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (until 31st December) for their panto this Christmas season, staring Matt Lapinskas (Eastenders and Dancing on Ice), Natasha Gray (Emmerdale) and Hannah Boyce. Tickets available online
